Message	it really does need to be vented. Main issue is the gas being created as a battery byproduct. In addition, if ever the car were to flip over -- I'd want the battery enclosed in someway to reduce battery acid spill issues. Think about flipping over and going down an embankment -- want that stuff dripping into the cabin area if the battery is higher than the driver? Just a worst case scenario....
